Stay the Course
"When a great team loses through complacency, it will constantly search for new and more intricate explanations to explain away defeat." -Pat Riley There is no doubt that we have a great team here at SMS, and we have gotten off to an amazing start to the school year. The battle that we now face is keeping up with all of the little things we have been doing over the first six days so that the next 173 are just as great. We must not become complacent in our areas of focus. Often with success, we can get lulled into believing that the victory is won and lose sight of the things that have put us in a position to be successful. I will do my best to keep us sharp as we move forward. I will leave this message short because I don't believe that over-complicating a message about staying vigilant on the little things makes much sense. Keep up the great work and enjoy this video that I think captures the folly of celebrating too soon.
